About Sanibel and Captiva
Sanibel and Captiva Islands Florida ,while known for its miles of beautiful shelling beaches, is truly a dedication to the past along with all the modern conveniences of today. Located on the south-western part of Florida along the Gulf Coast, people have been coming to Sanibel and Captiva Islands for decades to enjoy record breaking fishing, bird watching, sunbathing, golfing, pristine beaches, seashells, and so much more. Due in part to visionary land use restrictions and an environmentally minded population, more than two-thirds of the island is preserved by wildlife refuges. Sanibel has a year round population of just over 6000 residents but the island in “snowbird” season has well over 22,000 folks enjoying it.
Sanibel is, and always will remain a beautiful scenic location, living in harmony with the nature and wildlife of Florida.
