Seagrape beach access on Sanibel Island is another one of the beaches that is reserved to island property owners as an A permit beach however that only applies to the parking spots. It does provide access to anyone that wanted to bike or walk to this access point. It is located just under .5 miles from the east end of the island (Sanibel Lighthouse end) but is one of a very limited number of accesses that are located on the bay side of Sanibel. A very tiny beach area but for fishing or catching bait it cannot be beat! There is also an access point on the Gulf side of the street to provide beach access to the beach where wentletrap seashells of often found in the wash lines. Seagrape and Buttonwood are the only 2 beach accesses that have 2 access points, one bays side and one gulf side.
